Black Woman-Owned Company Creates The First Pajamas Line Featuring Children Of Color – Video

Simone Edmonson from Atlanta, GA wants the little ones to be comfortable in their skin and recognize their identities. To imbibe confidence and self-esteem in children, Simone came up with a line of sleepwear.

The sleepwear from Dreams and Jammies LLC plays an important role in children of color. The cute sleepwear helps them to see themselves portrayed in different characters as they go in their own dream lands.

Simone says “I wanted children of color to know that they’re valued and their faces matter. On average, children are in their PJ’s nine-plus hours per day. So, I thought it would be inspirational for them to show their individuality by selecting designs, which aligns with the child’s inner spirit.

Parents could use Dreams and Jammies as a platform to launch their child’s daily affirmation of self-worth.”

The sleepwear line made a big impact on the various communities. One buyer Denise Johnson from Baltimore Maryland said “When I saw those beautiful black girls wearing Dreams and Jammies on my Instagram feed, I bu-rst into tears.

I initially did not know why I had this visceral reaction. Then it dawned on me that in the fifty-five years of my life, I have never seen anything like this so I purchased a pair for my grandchildren and great-nieces.”

The Dreams and Jammies nightwear is made with 100% cotton and has great feel when worn. The comfortable nightwear is gaining popularity among kids and parents.

Simone says “We are consistently creating new designs and plan to launch our boy’s line of pajamas in 2021.”

The company also plans to launch slippers, innerwear and satin hair bonnets. The shoppers are advised to join the advance notices to get updates on the merchandise line.
