12 Signs Your Partner Might Be Cheating on you

Would you know if your partner was about to sidestep on you? Most of us like to think we would but the signs are sometimes less obvious that you’d think. While on their own these behaviours could be innocent, if you’re answering ‘yes’ to more than six things on this list, it’s definitely time for a talk about your relationship.

1. There is an emotional distance between the two of you.

You feel like there is a substantial gap that has been formed between the two of you.

Things are just off in your relationship. Things are no longer like they used to be but you can’t seem to pinpoint the root of the problem.

2. They push you to spend more time with other people instead.

It’s always great to have a partner who encourages you to have your own life and who gives you the freedom to spend time with your friends. But it’s also really weird and fishy to have a partner who doesn’t really seem to want to brawl for both your time and attention.

3. They are aside from you at very odd and unusual hours.

When you get really solid in a relationship, you often develop some kind of routine between you and your partner. However, whenever that routine starts to change; when you notice that your partner is spending more time aside from you, then you know that something is really up.

4. They don’t really open up to you about how they spend their time.

They act very secretively about the time that they spend aside from you. Their stories don’t seem to mix and match. Their alibis are vague and inconsistent. You get the sense that they don’t to talk because they are too afraid of getting caught in a lie.

5. They avoid picking up the phone whenever they are near you

Why wouldn’t they want to answer the phone? If it’s a work office call, they shouldn’t be afraid to pick it up right in front of you. But if it’s a personal phone call from somebody who shouldn’t be in the picture, you know they won’t be able to take it with you there.

6. They don’t talk to you about feelings and emotions anymore.

They don’t like to open up to you about how they feel because if they do, they know that they’re just eventually going to get caught somehow; and they’re too sc-ared too let themselves slip up in their own pool of lies.

7. There is a certain sense of anxiety in the air whenever you’re together.

There is a certain tension and sense of anxiety when you’re together because there are a looming suspension and deceit.

The stakes are higher and tensions are running high. He knows that one minor slip-up could lead to a huge argument between the two of you.

8. They act overly on your personal flaws

They begin to emphasize the negative features of your personality. They really focus on all the flaws in your personality. They aim to show you that you’re not as good as you believe you are. And they do it in order to destroy your ego and feeling of self-worth.

9. They hang out with a new “best friend” of the opposite gender

They should be able to have a “best friend” of the opposite gender. But they shouldn’t be spending more time with that best friend than they do on you.

10. They take on a drastic change in how they look.

They change the way they look drastically. And it symbolizes the dramatic shift in how they feel about you and the relationship.

11. Your gut is telling you that something isn’t right

When it comes to matters of the heart, you must learn to trust your intuition. In a relationship, you can either overthink things or be absolutely ignorant of everything that is going on around you. That is why, if your intuition tells you that something isn’t quite right, you must be able to act on it.

12. They no longer make you feel like you’re a part of their lives

You are now merely a stranger in your own relationship. You no longer have any say in how people spend their life. In the past, they would never act on their own initiative. They would always seek your advice on everything. However, they no longer make you feel as if they value your opinions.
