A widow had a clever idea after her late husband made her promise to cover him with all his money. Her husband was a hard worker but also a cheapskate. Because he worked hard for his money, he believed that his money only belonged to him. He loved his money more than anything – even more than his wife.

So, when he depart, he made his wife promise to put all his money in his casket before his cover. It seemed like a greedy wish, but his wife promised to do so nonetheless.

He said to his wife just before he took his last breath: “Now listen, when I depart, I want you to take all my money and place it in the casket with me. Because I want to take all my money to the afterlife.” During the fun-eral, the deceased husband was stretched out in the casket while his wife was sitting in the back next to her best friend.

Family and friends shared their fond memories of the deceased man.

After the ceremony, just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife cried, “Wait a minute!” She pulled out a shoebox, came over to the casket, and placed the box inside it. The undertakers then locked the casket and rolled it away. “I hope you weren’t crazy enough to put all that money in there with that stingy old man,” her friend said. She nodded. “Yes, I promised. I’m a good Christian; I can’t lie. I promised him that I was to put that money in that casket with him,” she replied. Her friend looked at her in disbelief.

“You mean to tell me you put every cent of his money in the casket with him?” she clarified. “I sure did,” the wife said. “I got it all together, put it into my account, and I wrote him a check.” Do you think her late husband’s last wish was a bit odd? Wait until you hear what this other woman’s husband asked her to do. A wife was at her husband’s fun-eral, tending to guests who came to pay their last respects. In their living room, there was a bottle of perfume beside a photo of her lifeless husband.

People were confused as to why there was a bottle of perfume instead of his cof-fin or even a jar of his ashes, but no one dared to ask. Little did they know, the man’s last wish was to be liquidized into perfume.

While most of the guests said their sympathy and left soon after, there was one friend of hers who decided to strike up a conversation. Her friend suddenly said: “It’s so sad that he’s gone.” The wife shrugged and replied: “Well, he’s still here in essence.”
