Bride-to-be Casey stood shaking at the altar in front of her family in front of her friends on what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life, but instead, it was the beginning of the end for a 6-year relationship and everyone was going to bear witness. Casey thought that her fiancé-to-be, Alex*, was the one, but as she wrote in her tell-all post on Whimn, the night before her wedding she received a text that changed everything.

Surrounded by her bridal party, she was bombarded with a series of screenshots from an unknown number accompanied by a simple message that read, “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?” The screenshots were a variety of lewd conversations between Alex and another woman, including selfies of the pair. The affair evidence ranged from months to only days before their planned union.

Crushed, she wondered how he could do this. Her loyal friends said she should call him and call off the wedding, but Casey was too sh-ocked to make a decision.

“Every word like a dagger in my heart and my wedding was only hours away. How could I cancel when everyone had already traveled to be there and everything was paid for?” The next day the scorned almost bride-to-be had made her decision – the wedding day would continue but with some slight changes.

“I walked down the aisle with leaden feet, my dream dress now just a costume. As he saw my face he knew this was not an ecstatic woman on her big day, but he had no idea what was coming,” and neither did anybody else in the crowd. “There will be no wedding today,” announced Casey, “It seems Alex is not who I thought he was.” She pulled out her phone hiding beneath her bouquet and began to read: “This weekend. You and I. It is on, h-ot stuff. Bring your A game.” “Your b-ody is f–king incredible.

And shit do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do.”

“I miss you so much. I can’t stop thinking about L, S, F’ing you. I’ve never had this kind of connection before.” The brave no longer bride stared at the colorless face of her ex-fiancé. Speechless, Alex stalked out of the church. Casey turned to speak to wedding audience: “I love all of you and as fearful as this is I’m glad you all are here. There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts.” While nothing about this bride’s wedding day went as planned, as she tells it, it was still one h-ell of a party

“This was supposed to be the happiest day of my life … and everyone was going to witness it” “Alex and I had been together for six years. I felt he was The One instantly. Our families became friends, our lives were entwined, and I believed we’d live happily ever after” “On the last night of my unwed life … my phone buzzed from across the room. But this text wasn’t like the other wishes of luck and love. This text took us all by surprise and changed everything in the heartbeat” “The message was a series of screenshots from a number I didn’t recognise. The accompanying message simply said, “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?””

“The screenshots were of conversations between my husband-to-be and another woman. Loads of them, including selfies of the pair” “The texts were dated from months to only days before. My brain simply could not compute WTF was going on. There was no questioning the legitimacy of these messages. I just knew” “Every word like a dagger in my heart and my wedding was only hours away. How could I cancel when everyone had already travelled to be there and everything was paid for? I loved Alex. I wanted to marry Alex tomorrow”

“I walked down the aisle with leaden feet, my dream dress now just a costume. “There will be no wedding today,” I announced“It seems Alex is not who I thought he was”” “A ripple of sh-ock went through the crowd and Alex tried to grab my hands but I put down my flowers to reveal my phone in my hand. I read every single message she sent me. With each word, more colour left Alex’s face” “I faced our guests once more “I love all of you and as fearful as this is I’m glad you all are here. There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts””

Emily You go girl!!! Dodged a bullet on theat one, if only we could be that lucky! God bless all of y’all out there!

Mac Kelly This is a cool story, but it’s mostly just an urban legend. It’s been going around for decades with different names and sometimes it’s the groom outing the bride.

Johann Very awesome!! Love how she confronted everyone, and celebrated her life, that’s so much self love and respect. Many need to do this.

Ashley Your stories would be much more real and relatable if you would give us real images from the people you are talking about.

Kent Davis Great job young lady. You saved yourself years of anguish. There are a lot of good guys out there. I hope you find one.

Annie My fiancé was cheating on me. I would’ve confronted him before the wedding. That way I would be stuck paying the bill for a wedding that wasn’t even gonna happen.
