Meagan Good On How Marriage To Her Pastor Husband Has Made Practising Her Christian Faith Harder

Hollywood actress, Meagan Good famed for her role in Hollywood movie, Think Like A Man in a recent interview with D.L Hughley on his radio show talked about her Christian faith and marriage to her pastor husband, Devon Franklin and how church folks have made going to church harder for her since she got married to her husband.

The actress’s husband, Devon is a minister/movie producer and she equally was born and raised in a Christian home. However, Meagan Good revealed that since she got married to the minister, the disapproval of who she is, and the roles she played in her movie career has intensified by church folks who do not realise how sensitive she is to their unfriendly comments.

The 37-year-old said although she remains steadfast in her Christian beliefs, she doesn’t attend church as much as she’d like to due to overcritical churchgoers.

“I do. Not all the time though, because if I’m being completely honest, my experience with some church folks has not been that positive. It’s unfortunate because we’re supposed to be the biggest lovers. And it’s like even if you disagree with someone or you don’t think what they’re doing is right, you’re supposed to mind your own business and pray for that person. Other times, you’re supposed to correct in love if that’s what God told you to do. And there was no correction in love. It was like a complete smack.”

In another part of the chat, Good said: “I’m waiting on the timeline’ and I hear “I can’t believe she did this s-x scene. She’s a married woman,’” referring to hateful comments she receives.

The Think Like a Man star went on to say: “At the end of the day, for me, I still love Christians. I will always love the church. I love my Lord and Savior, period point blank. That’s first and foremost over everything. But even though I love some of those people, I have to love them from a distance because my spirit is too sensitive.

And even though I’ve gotten to a place of balance, I’m the type of person, if I see someone crying, I’ll start crying. I’m extremely sensitive so I have to protect my spirit because those people don’t always know what they’re doing.” Meagan started her career as a child actor and has appeared in numerous television shows, films, and music videos as both a child and adult. She was born on August 8, 1981, in Panorama City, Los Angeles, California.

Her career was managed by her mother Tyra Wardlow-Doyle into her teens.

NosimiloWe need to be careful here. When God says he will do something and he does it, you didn’t manifest it. God delivered on his promise.

Keshia Bean I completely understand what Megan is describing. Oprah can’t comprehend because she is not connected to the true living God. GOD says “my sheep knows my voice” This concept is foreign to someone like Oprah who wants to use logic and human intellect to explain everything.

Nicole Jean he Lord told me my hubby would be mind also.

8 months after we met I became the Mrs! Never mentioned it to him before he asked either. God speaks!

Ashley I know exactly what she’s talking about. My God told me who my husband is too but I still have some healing to do.
